April 2003: Joyce Meyer Bible Conference in Hampton, Virginia
Marg and I had a wonderful four days from April 3rd to 6th in Hampton, Virginia attending the Joyce Meyer Bible Conference. We had signed up to volunteer as ushers and were so blessed in serving this way. Actually we ended up assisting special needs attendees an hour before our ushering duties were to start. Marg ‘worked’ the floor making sure the RESERVED signs for those with special needs were observed. I assisted in helping with those in wheelchairs or using crutches or having special needs in terms of sight and hearing. We met many wonderful Saints who also offered their volunteer services. Some were from as far away as Nova Scotia!
Volunteering also allowed us to go behind the scenes and really see the wonderful effort that is put forward by so many people – in order to make conferences like this run so smoothly. We will do it again!
The WORD was preached so powerfully during the four sessions that all who attended were touched and lives were changed – we know ours were! Joyce is an anointed preacher and teacher of the WORD.
Here are some pictures of our conference activities.
