Precept Ministries International Resource & Training Center Opening - Brantford

On Saturday, June 14th, Marg and I had the opportunity to be present at the Grand Opening of the new Office and Resource Center of Precept Ministries International in Brantford. Precept Ministries is devoted to the study of God’s Word through Inductive Bible Studies and offers a wide range of study resources, training and various seminars – now through their new Resource and Training Center.

The Canadian Director Tom Hart and his wife Jane welcomed the nearly 200 attendees along with the Keynote speaker Mr. Pete De Lacy, International Director from Precept Ministries headquarters in Chattanooga Tennessee. The day was beautiful weather-wise as well as exciting to see this dream come true for Tom and Jane. After a workshop that many attended, most stayed for the opening ceremonies and were treated to outdoor worship music and great food – especially the delicious cakes and goodies.

We encourage all those who want to study the Bible in a more in-depth manner and to really see how the Word of God is alive, to attend PM workshops for training or local Bible Studies held in your area. The information is all available on the PM website at www.preceptministries.ca.

Here are a few scenes from the day’s activities.

Freedom Village’s “United We Stand” Rally at Canada Christian College, Toronto

On the evening of Thursday, June 19 nearly 500 people met at Canada Christian College to take part in an exciting “United We Stand” rally sponsored by Freedom Village Canada. The evening was vibrant with the sounds of the Freedom Village choir and electrified with the Word spoken by Pastor Fletcher Brothers, founder of Freedom Village USA, Dr. Charles McVety, President of Canada Christian College and the Honourable Stockwell Day, Alliance MP for Okanagan-Coquilla.

Canadian and American Christians came together, united as one, on such subjects as partial birth abortion, Bibles in schools, non-traditional marriages and other attacks on the moral fibre of both countries. All the speakers were passionate in their conviction that we as Christians must stand rigid and upright in defence of our faith and set everything to prayer, prayer and more prayer. God is able to overcome everything and He uses us to bring His light and to carry His message of hope for a dark world through His son Jesus Christ.

Here are a few scenes from the evening. Please pray for our leaders and for a renewal of Christian values in both countries.
