March 2003: Alpha Retreat at
Marg and I are considered Alpha Alumni since we first took the course in 1997. Since then, we have helped lead several other courses. This year St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Streetsville had their Holy Spirit weekend retreat held at the Salvation Army Retreat Centre near Jackson’s Point on Lake Simcoe just north of Toronto. An Alpha group from Georgetown also came. People are hungry on this weekend for the Holy Spirit … and He never disappoints. Besides great teaching using the Alpha tapes presented by Nicky Gumble of Alpha, great food and fellowship took place. There was praise an worship throughout the entire weekend.
